Refund and Return Policy

 

At DoorToCart.com ("we," "us," or "our"), we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This policy outlines your rights and our procedures for returns, exchanges, and refunds in compliance with applicable United States federal and state consumer protection laws.

1. Return Eligibility

You may request a return within 30 days from the date of delivery, provided the item meets the following conditions:

  • Item is unused and in its original condition
  • Item is in its original packaging with all tags attached
  • Item is not damaged due to misuse, negligence, or unauthorized alterations
  • Proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt) is provided

🏕️ Condition Requirements for Outdoor & Camping Products

To ensure quality and safety for all customers, the following conditions apply to outdoor and camping gear:

Sleeping Bags & Hammocks

Must be unopened and in original sealed packaging. Items that have been unrolled, used, or show signs of outdoor use cannot be returned.

Camping Chairs & Furniture

Must be unassembled and in original packaging. Assembled or used items are not eligible for return.

Backpacks & Dry Bags

Must be unused with original tags attached. Items showing signs of wear or use are not eligible.

Electronics (Solar Power Banks, etc.)

Must be unopened in original sealed packaging. Activated or charged items cannot be returned.

Cookware & Utensils

Must be unused and in original packaging. Items that have been washed or used for food preparation are not eligible for hygiene reasons.

⚠️ Non-Returnable Items

  • Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Non-Returnable" at the time of purchase
  • Items damaged due to customer misuse or improper handling
  • Items returned without original packaging or tags
  • Items returned after the 30-day return window

2. Return Process

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Contact our Customer Service team at support@doortocart.com within 30 days of delivery. Include your order number and reason for return.

Step 2: Our team will review your request and, if approved, provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions within 2-3 business days.

Step 3: Securely package the item(s) in their original packaging. Clearly write the RMA number on the outside of the package.

Step 4: Ship the item to the address provided in the return instructions. We recommend using a trackable shipping method and purchasing shipping insurance for your protection.

Important: Returns sent without prior authorization or an RMA number may be refused or delayed.


3. Return Shipping Costs

Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items: We will provide a prepaid return shipping label or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs.

Change of Mind / Buyer's Remorse: The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Free Shipping Promotions: If your original order qualified for free shipping, the actual outbound shipping cost may be deducted from your refund if the return is not due to our error.


4. Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your returned item(s), we will notify you via email regarding the approval or rejection of your refund.

Approved Refunds:

  • Refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days of approval
  • Depending on your financial institution, it may take an additional 3-7 business days for the refund to appear on your statement
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error

Partial Refunds (when applicable):

  • Items returned with obvious signs of use or damage
  • Items not in original condition, missing parts, or not in original packaging
  • Items returned outside the 30-day return window but within 45 days (at our discretion)

5. Exchanges

We currently do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange an item for a different size, color, or product, please:

  1. Initiate a return for the original item
  2. Place a new order for the desired item

This ensures faster processing and guarantees availability of your preferred item.


6. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photographs of the damage/defect or incorrect item received
  • Description of the issue

We will, at our discretion:

  • Send a replacement at no additional cost
  • Issue a full refund including any return shipping costs
  • Provide a partial refund if you choose to keep the item

Note: Please do not discard damaged or defective items until instructed by our customer service team.


7. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven't received your refund within the stated timeframe:

  1. Check your bank account or credit card statement again
  2. Contact your credit card company or bank, as processing times vary
  3. If you've done the above and still have not received your refund, contact us at support@doortocart.com

8. Order Cancellation

Before Shipment: You may cancel your order for a full refund if it has not yet been shipped. Contact us immediately at support@doortocart.com.

After Shipment: Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled. You may refuse delivery or initiate a return once the item is received, subject to this Return Policy.


9. Shipping Delays and Non-Delivery

We are committed to delivering your order in a timely manner. However, shipping times may vary based on product availability, carrier delays, customs processing, and other factors beyond our control.

If your order has not arrived:

  • Domestic orders: Contact us if not received within 20 business days of shipment
  • We will investigate with the carrier and either reship the item or issue a full refund

Per the FTC's Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Rule, if we cannot ship within the promised timeframe, we will notify you and provide the option to cancel for a full refund.


10. Chargebacks

We encourage customers to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with their financial institution. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly. Initiating a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the issue with us may result in delays and additional complications.


11. State-Specific Rights

California Residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Civil Code Section 1723, you have specific rights regarding returns and refunds. Our policy meets or exceeds these requirements. If you have questions about your rights under California law, please contact us.

Other States: Various states may have additional consumer protection laws. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any rights you may have under applicable state law.
